RULES OF THE ROAD

Hello, everybody! This is Tetsu here and I'm going to present you with a FULL set of all the rules associated with the Pokemon Trainers' Central Hub. Now, let me preface this with a disclaimer: The rules can be updated without prior notice or warning, so it is YOUR responsibility to keep an eye on the rules. Now, this list is for every section of the PTCH, even the bits that aren't on this site itself. I will start with the category labels for infractions. CTRL + F might help you here since everything is rather long, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Let's jump in now. Click the spoilers to read the rules and consequences.

Infraction Classes:

INFRACTION CLASSES
The Classes for the Infractions range from Class 1 (minor) to Class 5 (major), and the consequences take a pyramid shape. Click the spoilers below to see what I mean.
Class 1
Infraction Penalties:
1st Infraction: Warning
2nd Infraction: Chat Kick and Warning
3rd Infraction: 24 hour ban
4th Infraction: 30 day ban
5th Infraction: Permanent Ban

Class 2
Infraction Penalties:
1st Infraction: Chat Kick and Warning
2nd Infraction: 24 hour ban
3rd Infraction: 30 day ban
4th Infraction: Permanent Ban

Class 3
Infraction Penalties:
1st Infraction: 24 hour ban
2nd Infraction: 30 day ban
3rd Infraction: Permanent Ban

Class 4
Infraction Penalties:
1st Infraction: 30 day ban
2nd Infraction: Permanent Ban

Class 5
Infraction Penalties:
1st Infraction: Permanent Ban

All Class Infractions are reset after a rolling 6 months without incident, which means if you go 6 months without performing an infraction of that class, the slate is cleared, but only for that one class. For example, let's say you had 2 Code 3 violations and 2 Code 1 violations and you committed another Code 1 violation, but you haven't committed a Code 3 in 6 months. Your Code 1 violation count is still at 3 (including the one you just got), but your Code 3 count is dropped to 0. Please note that while this system may seem mean or strict, it helps to keep everything in line. If you have any questions or concerns about the Class System of Infractions, please let me know.

Forum Rules:

FORUM RULES

  1. No double-posting. If there is something that needs to be added to your post, you can use the Edit button, free of charge. Breaking this rule is a Class 1 Infraction.
  2. No necroposting. If there is a post 6 months old or older that you want to re-explore, I invite you to post a new topic with your own take on that discussion. There may be a reason that particular thread died. Breaking this rule is a Class 1 Infraction.
  3. No posting pornographic or illegal pictures, videos, stories, or content of any other nature. This is non-negotiable. Bear in mind that this site could have and/or does have children accessing it. BREAKING THIS RULE IS AN AUTOMATIC CLASS 4 VIOLATION IF PORNOGRAPHIC (depending on the volume, could be Class 5) AND THE ILLEGAL CONTENT IS AN AUTOMATIC CLASS 5.
  4. No flaming. Each individual is to be treated fairly and with respect. Breaking this rule results in a Class 2 Infraction.
  5. Make sure that the post is relevant to the topic and/or the discussion at hand. Posting a random message detracts from the conversation and can be rather irritating, so please refrain from doing so. Breaking this rule is a Class 1 Infraction.

Most of these rules are negotiable. If you disagree with the disciplinary decision of a staff member, you are free to appeal up to the next higher rank.

Chat Rules:

CHAT RULES*

  1. No spamming or flooding. Okay, we all know what these are and why they're annoying, but I have to say it anyway. These are nuisances that can kill/ruin chats, so please just refrain from doing it. Seriously. We all hate it. Breaking this rule is a base Class 1 violation, but the magnitude of the action determines the severity of the consequence.
  2. No flaming. Again, we want everyone to be respected and treated like friends or family. You don't have to necessarily like someone, but please don't attack them. Breaking this rule is a base Class 2 violation, but the magnitude of the action determines the severity of the consequence.
  3. Try to keep arguments in Private Messaging on site and Private Chat on servers and services. We at PTCH understand that arguments are bound to break out, but we would appreciate it greatly if you could keep them out of the Public. If you cannot take it in private, contact a staff member and we will work together to reach an agreement. Breaking this rule can result in a cap of Class 2 Infraction, though most times, Infraction Classes are not determined. The magnitude of the argument determines the severity of the consequence.
  4. There is to be NO posting of ANY illegal or pornographic images, videos, stories, or content of any other sort in any chat! Do not forget that there can and/or are children present on this site! BREAKING THIS RULE THROUGH THE POSTING OF PORNOGRAPHIC CONTENT RESULTS IN A MINIMUM OF A CLASS 4 INFRACTION (depending on the volume, it could be a Class 5) AND THE POSTING OF ILLEGAL CONTENT IS AN AUTOMATIC CLASS 5 INFRACTION. THIS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE.

*:
These rules apply to any chat affiliated with the Pokemon Trainers' Central Hub, such as Discord, Skype, Chatango, Chatzy, etc.

Private Messaging (PM) Rules:

PRIVATE MESSAGING (PM) RULES

  1. No harassment. If someone asks you to stop messaging them twice and you continue to do so, this is harassment. Breaking this rule is a Class 3 infraction.
  2. No flaming. Do I need to go over this one again? Please respect all members of the PTCH. Breaking this rule is a Class 2 infraction.
  3. No posting illegal or pornographic images, videos, stories, or content of any other nature. I think I've beat this dead horse enough. BREAKING THIS RULE THROUGH THE POSTING OF PORNOGRAPHIC CONTENT IS A BASE CLASS 4 INFRACTION AND THE BREAKING OF THIS RULE THROUGH THE POSTING OF ILLEGAL CONTENT IS AN AUTOMATIC CLASS 5 INFRACTION AND IP BAN.

A Note About Reporting:
If you report someone due to PMs, you must provide the full discussion or we cannot take action.

If you disagree with these rules, you are free to discuss it with myself or any other Administrator, but it is in your best interest to come prepared, as we will be discussing this and defending the list of rules. Additionally, if you have any questions about any of the rules, you're free to message any Staff Member and we will be happy to answer your questions. I hope you enjoy your time here at the Pokemon Trainers' Central Hub!
